The school year is coming to a close and it’s time to thank the all the teachers who have invested their time, love, and energy into helping our children learn and grow. Many simple-to-make teacher gifts can be very meaningful, allowing you to creatively celebrate your child’s teachers while staying on budget!
We searched the Internet far and wide to find the best craft ideas for teacher gifts (we also focused on gifts that would be well-suited for both male and female teachers). Here’s what we found:
The Best Ideas for Teacher Gifts
1. Getting a gift card? Glam up a coffee-shop gift card by placing it in a paper coffee cup, with a DIY coffee cozy. Along with the gift card, tuck a piece of paper with a thank you note from your child inside the mug. (Idea from the blog House on Hill Road)
2. Create a fun storage box. Teachers go through a lot of paper clips, tacks, post-it notes, and other small things. These things can also clutter up a desk drawer quickly! We love this easy and adorable craft idea for a box of teacher goodies that reminds teachers that they are appreciated while helping them stay organized!
3. Give a treat that’s simple and sweet. Jennifer at Mom vs. The Boys shares her fabulously easy idea for a “Smartie” teacher gift.
4. Make a School Supplies Cake. Many teacher have a limited classroom budget and are very grateful when they receive new school supplies as a year-end gift. Pencils, crayons, markers, labels, notebooks, post-it notes, glue, and craft supplies are always needed in any classroom. This practical gift can be especially fun to give when you arrange the items into a school supplies cake (similar to the idea of a diaper cake, but with school supplies).
